About The Event

Join us for a casual farm to table dining experience and celebration of our farm’s seasonal local flavors. Prepared for you to enjoy in the very place it was grown. You’ll dine on a showcase of deep, earthy, rich, and sweet flavors expertly prepared to savor while listening to live music! You won't want to miss this truly one-of-a-kind dinner experience.  

Our themed, signature meals will feature fresh ingredients from our farm, as well as locally sourced ingredients and meats from hand-selected farmers who care for local flavor as deeply as we do. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to meet and talk with those contributing to the meal for learning about the vital role small local farms play in building a local food system, and the ways local chefs, farmers and eaters are working together to further the cause. 

 

MENU - WILL BE EMAILED TO GUESTS 7-10 DAYS PRIOR TO DINNER.

Dinner to be prepared by chef Pete Bergstrom, head chef and owner of Bergie’s Place & the Monarch Brewing Company in Monticello, IL.    

Beverages: Tea, lemonade and seasonal-infused water

You are welcome to bring your own beverage to the dinner. Please contact us with any questions.

Farm tour and introduction of farmers contributing to the meal

FEATURED MUSIC

Black Eyed Lillies, a Champaign, IL based duo, brings together a classic mix of Americana, blues and folk music. 

 

RESERVATIONS

Adults only please. Advanced reservations are required. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased at: mariahsmums.com/eventregistration. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. If you are purchasing reservations as a gift, please include the name, address, and email address of the attendees during online registration. We will send an email reservation reminder to all attendees, 7-10 days prior to the dinner.  

DIETARY ACCOMMODATIONS

Dinners are a set menu designed by our caterer. If you have dietary restrictions or concerns, please see the menu to help decide if the dishes being offered will accommodate your diet. While accommodating certain dietary restrictions may be possible, unfortunately we cannot accommodate strict dietary restrictions or severe food allergies. If you have any specific questions about the menu, please contact us at mariahandgreg@mariahsmums.com and we can advise you before purchasing your tickets. 

 

DRESS ATTIRE

Our farm dinner is hosted on a working farm, so we suggest that you dress casually. Please dress according to the weather and wear proper footwear; we suggest flat shoes and not heels. The dinner could be set up a short distance from our barn so please wear appropriate shoes for walking on natural terrain. Come prepared for open-air dining and the unpredictable Illinois weather. Bring a hat or sunglasses with you if needed as dinner may include a beautiful sunset.

 

SEATING

Seating is open and typically at round tables but we've also hosted our dinners at long, family-style dinner tables. 

 

PARKING

Please park along the main driveway. A parking sign will be posted.

 

VENUE & INCLEMENT WEATHER

This event will proceed rain or shine. The majority of our dinner events are held in our barn. Occasionally, we host our dinner events outside if ideal weather conditions are in the forecast. 

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to the limited seating and advance preparations required for our dinners, cancellations must be made two weeks prior to the date of the farm dinner for refund. All cancellation notifications must be made by emailing mariahandgreg@mariahsmums.com. 

 

If your cancellation is less than two weeks prior to the dinner, you may apply your reservation to another 2020 dinner date or you may transfer your reservations to someone else. We will not be responsible for re-assigning or selling your reservations on your behalf, but we will be happy to contact individuals on our wait list per your request. In the event that you transfer your tickets to someone else, please contact us with the names and information for the new guests within three days of the dinner.
