We’re more than just a farm, we’re an EXPERIENCE and a Central Illinois Agritourism destination! Because of our farm’s growth, we are adding to our farm crew in 2024.
If you’re hard-working & reliable, you like to learn by doing, you don’t give up easy, you're a great listener who takes direction well, you have a servant heart, and last but not least….. you like to have FUN. Then we’re looking for YOU!
Whether you have a day job, seek change, you’re a high school student or college student on the hunt for an internship, or just want some extra income. We’d love to have you on our Farm Crew!
Our seasonal, part-time positions include:
Field Team
-
Works outdoors with preparation, planting, scouting, and harvesting of our food, flower, and pumpkin crops.

Willing to work outdoors regardless of weather.
-
Can complete repetitious tasks while maintaining quality.
-
Works from as early as April until late October, but may flex based on schedule and/or availability.
-
25-35 Hours during the week but days/hours may flex based on school schedule and availability.
-
Field team members are required to work at least one shift during our annual Mum Fest event, the weekend following Labor Day.

Field Team members report to Farmer Greg and/or our Field Team Lead.
Food Team
-
Must be available to work during open hours or special events from May until late October but may flex based on schedule and/or availability. If you have a lot of Friday through Sunday obligations (especially in the fall) please do not apply for this position.

Farm Concession Hours:
-
May: Friday - Sunday, 9am – 3pm
-
June – August: Saturdays Only, 9am – 3pm (with special events starting late June on Thursday or Friday evenings)

September – October: Thursday – Sunday, 10am -4pm

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
-
Takes, prepares, and/or fulfills food concession orders.
-
Strives to deliver an experience and food product that exceed the customer’s expectations.
-
Can complete repetitious tasks while maintaining quality.
-
Contributes to the cleanliness and stocking/inventory of the food concession.
-
Follows all food safety and standard operating procedures for the food concession.
-
Champions a fun & safe working environment.

Food Team members report to Farmer Mariah and/or our Food Team Supervisor.
Fun Team
-
Must be available to work during open hours or weekends from Late June until late October but may flex based schedule and/or availability. If you have a lot of weekend obligations, please do not apply for this position.

Farm Hours:
-
June – August: Saturdays Only, 9am – 3pm

September – October: Thursday – Sunday, 10am -4pm

Works in our new welcome desk, u-pick, and/or kids activity areas.

Will be a customer-facing team member who greets and interacts with customers for ensuring a consistent memorable experience.

Ability to be proactively engage & energize interaction with customers.

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

Listens, understand, and be compassionate when providing information and assisting customer questions, concerns, and requests.

Able to make decisions to ensure our guests have a positive experience.

Champions that our customers understand procedures and practices for ensuring a fun & safe experience while visiting our farm.

The Fun Team members report to Farmer Mariah and/or our Farm Market lead.

Farm Team General Qualifications
-
Food & Fun Team members must be 16 years of age with reliable transportation to work.

Field Team members must be 14 years of age by start date with reliable transportation to work.

Ability to perform job functions and interactions in alignment to our farm’s values, mission, and brand standards.

Eager to roll-up your sleeves and work - a strong work-ethic is a must!

Able to effectively work independently or as part of a team.
-
Prolonged standing and/or walking hours at a time.
-
Excellent listening & communication skills.
-
Ability to problem solve, ask questions, and take initiative.

Trusted to complete certain tasks with minimal supervision.

Ability to follow instructions & take direction.

Confident to share ideas or opportunities for improvement.

Adaptable to change of plans or routines.
