FIELD TRIPS

FROM JULY TO OCTOBER

We believe in connecting all ages with agriculture through a true AG-VENTURE experience. One of our favorite ways to accomplish this is by hosting school and youth field trips that blend education and fun on a beautiful Midwest specialty crop farm.

Our field trip program is designed to be both fun and educational, giving students a hands-on, real-world look at agriculture. From crop life cycles and pollinators to nutrition and farm operations, students leave with a deeper understanding of where their food comes from while creating meaningful memories outdoors.

Field trips are offered Wednesdays through Fridays starting at 9:30am, 11am, and 12:30pm.

Here’s what to expect for our 1.5 to 2 hour field trips:

  • Designed & customized for grades PreK – 5th.

  • Mariah will welcome you and your students to the farm.

  • Farmer Greg will guide students on an interactive tour of the farm, making 3–4 engaging “Crop Stops” along the way. At each stop, he’ll explore the life cycle of the crops we grow: flowers, strawberries, pumpkins, and vegetables, highlight the important role of pollinators, share the health benefits of fresh, farm-grown foods, and answer students’ questions throughout the experience.

  • Per request and pending the season/time of field trips, we can build in time for the students to pick strawberries or take home a pumpkin.

  • Playtime in our Farmtastic Fun Park & visit/feed the goats.

  • Some groups will bring their own sack lunches for having lunch in our Barn Pavilion following the field trip.
