We welcome you to experience pick your own (PYO) strawberries like never before with our vertical, hydroponic growing system. This uniquely designed way of growing allows you to pick standing up and not on the ground; crawling on your hands and knees! Hand-select what you bring home while making memories and enjoying a one-of-a-kind AG-venture.

 

Our strawberries are ever-bearing, which means that they will continue to produce berries from June until early October.

There are two ways to pick your own (PYO) strawberries at our farm:

🍓​Appointment PYO Experiences: NEW in 2023 - We are only making available 2-3 weeks of appointments at a time. We recommend becoming a subscriber to our e-news for keeping in the know. Appointments are only offered during the week. We DO NOT take appointments on the weekends. Visit our reservation page to book an appointment.

🍓​Open PYO Experiences: This means we are open for anyone to pick on Saturdays ONLY from 10am - until we sell out for the day, which can be within a couple hours or sooner during the start of the season! Because our vertical growing system makes picking fast and easy, we recommend arriving by 10am SHARP for strawberry picking. Our farm market and food concessions will still be open throughout the day. Open PYO picking is not available during other days. We are NOT open on Sundays from June until the end of August.

🍓 Price & Payment Methods

We charge $5.00 per pound container during Saturday picks. Cash is always preferred but we also accept local checks, and Visa, Mastercard, & Discover.
 

🍓 Driving Directions

We are located 8 miles east of Clinton off of Route 10. It is hit and miss when using our address with a GPS device, Mapquest, or Google Maps when locating our farm. You might end up VERY LOST! We recommend using the driving directions on our Driving Directions page or these coordinates when using a GPS device: 40.113557, -88.827004.

 

🍓 Cancellations

Our strawberries are planted in two greenhouse structures, which means you can pick rain or shine. However, we reserve the right to cancel picking due to severe weather or available supply. Cancellations for open PYO will be announced on our Facebook page. Private PYO experiences will be notified prior to scheduled appointment.

🍓 Know Before You Arrive ​

• Open PYO Saturdays: No early picking is permitted.

• Open PYO picking is not available during other days.

• We plan to offer PYO Saturdays & appointment picking experiences until early October.

• Once you arrive, please check in with a staff member in the barn for picking instructions.

• We will provide containers for picking and taking home.

• Hand washing and sanitizing is required before picking strawberries.

• You should not be on our farm property if you feel ill, are showing signs of illness or have tested positive for COVID-19 (or had close contact with someone who has tested positive) prior to your visit.

• Dress for the weather. Wear light-colored, cool, loose fitting, cotton clothes on hot days.

• Closed-toe shoes are recommended.

• Wear and bring with you sunscreen, a hat or visor and sunglasses.

• Patio seating, porta potty, hand washing & sanitizer stations are onsite.

• Treats, snacks, and beverages from our food concessions are offered during open hours.
